river landing wedding: amanda & chase!
Right this very minute, Amanda & Chase are in the middle of their exciting journey from their longtime home state of North Carolina to their new home on beautiful Whidbey Island, off the coast of Washington. There’s nothing like planning a wedding in just two months and then moving clear across the country, right?! In fact, Chase received official word that he would, in fact, be stationed in Washington at the beginning of January during the middle of their Friday night rehearsal. Absolute craziness!
The couple chose to hold their weekend wedding festivities at the beautiful River Landing in Wallace, North Carolina. Not only was the club a nice central location for most of their friends & family in North Carolina, it was a stunning venue- especially with all of the Christmas decorations.

Moments after they were introduced to their guests as husband & wife, Amanda & Chase hurried to their getaway golf cart to take pictures outside.

How happy do they look here?

How cute are the pockets on Amanda’s wedding dress?

This was the only time the sun decided to even remotely sneak out the entire day. How beautiful do they look before the hiding sunset?

Amanda and Chase were married just six days before Christmas. Who doesn’t love a Christmasy, winter wedding? Roses played a significant part in the wedding, as the couple’s last name is Rose.

Chase worked with the talented staff at Jewelsmith in Durham to design Amanda’s engagement ring and decided to include a hand-engraved version of the Luckenbooth, the Scottish symbol for love, on the gallery under the diamond.

More red & green accents!

I immediately fell in love with the display of old wedding dresses that belonged to Amanda’s mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and their respective wedding photos. I smile from ear to ear at the thought of Amanda’s granddaughter using one of my photos next to Amanda’s beautiful dress on the day of her wedding!

Amanda & Chase share their first dance as husband and wife. This was the second time that day my eyes got a bit watery…

This was such a beautiful (and scrumptious!) cake, perfect for Amanda & Chase Rose.

I think they look like a match made in heaven here!

And what better way to make a grand exit than sparklers? Yay!

Happy, happy 2010, Amanda & Chase! I wish you two the very best as you embark on this exciting new adventure together!
