When I arrived at The Colony to begin photographing Emily & her bridesmaids getting ready for the big day, these beautiful sea shell wreaths that were hanging on the gates of the beautiful hotel were the first thing that I saw, and thus the first thing I photographed that day. I absolutely adored the monogram that Jay & Emily (and their friend-slash-designer, Ashley!) incorporated throughout the day.
Emily & Jay adore their dogs, Lulu (pictured below with Emily) & Waddy, and only thought it fitting that the dogs were incorporated somehow during their special day.
Lulu, who, like Emily, wore beautiful pearls, stood with the bridesmaids during the ceremony, while Waddy proudly stood with the guys, as he sported his new Eliza B. collar. Too cute!
The wonderfully talented Heath Ray of Jackson | Durham outdid himself with the event’s floral design!
The bridesmaids wore pearl necklaces designed by Emily’s lovely & talented friend-slash-bridesmaid, Suzanne Somersall, to complement their Shoshanna dresses from one of Palm Beach’s favorite boutiques, C. Orrico.
How fun are these ties the groomsmen wore from another Palm Beach staple, J. McLaughlin?
This is the way that Jay looked at Emily the entire day of their wedding. Too perfect!
The feature on Style Me Pretty said that Emily & Jay might just be the picture perfect couple. No might… they definitely are!
