magazine monday: pumpkins!
Even though it’s officially November and all things Halloween are over, I had to share a few photos of the pumpkins on our front steps. We finished carving (& spray painting!) our pumpkins this weekend, and we’re convinced that in addition to making a perfect Magazine Monday feature, our pumpkins would fit quite well alongside the pumpkins pictured in the October issue of Martha Stewart Living!
We’ve had this display of pumpkins out on our steps for a few weeks now.
But after we finished carving this weekend, it looks like this! Michael is the genius behind the Jack-o’-lanterns! He received so many compliments on his pumpkins last night from trick-or-treaters and their parents!
My favorite part of our fall decor this year is our window boxes! I love the way they look in front of our 18th century cape!
Happy Magazine Monday!

WOW those pumpkins are amazing!!!
Great, frightening and very artistic. Can you carve mine next year???
Yeah – follow up question: what tools were used to carve these?
Thanks, everyone! Eliza, he used a kitchen knife (a 7-inch paring knife) and a spoon!

CAIN…YOU ARE THE BEST!!! Mere the shots are incredible but, Michael’s pumpkins are amazing!!
I love these pumpkins!! You guys are so creative with these. Reminds me of our dinner that we had two years ago when you came to Boston and we were talking about the ‘little pumpkin being eaten by the big pumpkin’ design – and its already been 2 years since that date, how time flies!
