magazine monday: anemones!
I was delightfully surprised to read about Japanese anemones in the September issue of Martha Stewart Living (page 76). Michael and I had been commenting on these lovely, whimsical blooms for weeks on our evening walks with Orvis. We were both so thankful to finally know what to call them! As it’s getting a little chillier in Maine, our sweet anemones are becoming increasingly scarce, and the ones that are left in our neighborhood are looking a little wilted.
Martha Stewart Living‘s Gardening writer, Stacey Hirvela, notes that “With its long stems and abundant flowers, the plant forms a silvery pink cloud in the garden.” I could not agree more!

Happy Monday from out west! I’m having a great time out in Colorado & Wyoming, the first stop on my Jet Blue All-You-Can-Jet-Adventure! Fun photos from Emily & Buddy’s engagement session in Boulder will be up on the blog soon!
