isle of springs wedding: kate and cormac!
Back in July I received the sweetest e-mail from Jenna Cole asking me if I’d be interested in second shooting a wedding on Isle of Springs for her the following month. Trust me, I couldn’t hit reply fast enough. This wedding wasn’t just any wedding. It was Kate + Cormac’s wedding. I had been following the plans for this very wedding for months (!) on one of my favorite blogs, Peach & Pearl. Emily, the super sweet & talented Art Director at Southern Weddings, had been blogging about the upcoming wedding of her sister, Kate, and her soon-to-be brother-in-law, Cormac, since they began making plans for the big day. She had even used a few of my own images from Chelsey & David’s wedding on one of her inspiration boards in the process! To be a part of it all seemed absolutely dream-like to me!
Kate & Cormac, with some major help from Emily and the rest of their sweet families, put together some of the most incredible wedding details ever. For Jenna & I, the day was a dream. A wedding photographer’s paradise, if you will. Cheerful yellow & navy details everywhere. Unique ideas right & left. And best of all, some of the most welcoming wedding guests ever. Everyone was so friendly & hospitable to us. I remember driving back from the island, reflecting upon the day, with the happiest smile on my face.
I waited until today to share these photos, just a few of my favorites, because they are being featured on the newly designed Southern Weddings site today! For even more details & photos by Jenna Cole & myself, head on over to the Southern Weddings site!
Bunting. Sweet, adorable bunting was used throughout the design of the wedding. The envelope liners were even created by my amazingly talented friend, Chelsey of Fourth & Folded!
As the second shooter, my primary focus was capturing a lot of the incredible details and catching any moments from an angle other than Jenna’s. Here are a few of my ceremony shots.
Super sweet sisters!
How incredibly cool do these two look? Lawn games at a summertime wedding are so fun!
I fell in love with these little drink stirrers Emily made, and tried to recreate them on my own soon after!
Kate & Cormac’s delicious wedding cakes were what started my extreme obsession with 3 Dogs Cafe & Sweet Sensations in Rockport. Best wedding cake I’ve ever tasted. Mmm!
And! One of the most special moments for me, was when I saw Elise’s grandparents, who I had met just weeks before when I traveled to Isle of Springs for Elise & Shane’s engagement shoot. I am looking forward to photographing these two again at their granddaughter’s wedding in August!
Happy Wednesday! Thank you, Jenna, Kate + Cormac, Emily, and the Ayer-Seely families for including me on this super special day!

Such lovely photos! And I am in love with those cakes!!
Everything looks gorgeous! Great job capturing the details :)
WOW!! I’m stunned!! I have been anxiously awaiting pics of another one of your weddings, and this, this is so much more! Jenna, Chelsea, you, and Emily at Southern Weddings are obviously UNSTOPPABLE. Kate was extremely lucky to have such talented individuals support her in her big day :) It’s gorgeous, no doubt. *SWOON*
so much fun! what an incredible event and experience! I love the details, the cakes, and your story behind shooting. I think weddings need more lawn games – what a colorful thing to do during cocktail hour :)
Congratulations on the feature, Meredith!!! Beautiful images; I just LOVE their blue & yellow details!
