harvard engagement shoot: abby and igor!

I have been looking forward to Abby & Igor’s engagement shoot since I first met them at a cute cafe in Somerville last month.  Like a lot of newly engaged couples, Abby & Igor are just smitten with each other & are simply adorable together!  I could see from the beginning though that Abby & Igor would be a fine match!  In hearing about their previous travel adventures & future planned excursions, I have no doubt in my mind that they will make their way across this world together, hand in hand, meeting new friends & making tons of memories as they go.

After I met them at their darling apartment in Cambridge we decided to head to Harvard.  The campus was, after all, home to of many of their first dates.  Abby had the wonderful idea to go to the Harvard Law Library for our pictures, as Igor is a law student there.

But, before we move on to the photos, there is just one tiny, little thing to note here- it’s exam time.  At Harvard. Law.  Yeah, that’s right.  Those smitten lovebirds (who, let it be known, I truly adore!) talked me into shooting in the library of one of the most prestigious law schools in the country during the middle of their exam period!  Yikes!

These photos were taken in the center of the top (the prettiest!) floor of the law library.  To say Abby & Igor were on display is an understatement- but how adorable are they?

On our way out of the library we stopped for a quick game of chess!

Abby beat Igor handily, but luckily he was still up for a quick kiss.

We made it out of the law library safely & hopefully didn’t disrupt too many students in the process.  But, I have to say, if I was ever a student at Harvard Law, (ha!) seeing a cute couple as in love as Abby & Igor, enjoying themselves in front of the camera as I was studying for exams would thankfully remind me that there is life (& love) beyond contracts & tax law.
