chapel hill wedding: abby and guion!
Oh, Abby & Guion! How cute are these two? After their guests had their fill of delicious pie & lemonade at the reception in Carrboro, Abby, Guion, and I headed back over to Chapel Hill to spend some time in the beautiful arboretum on the UNC campus. Kudos to Abby & Guion for planning a lovely daytime wedding that allowed the three of us plenty of time (& daylight!) to take these pictures. It doesn’t matter to me whether a bride & groom choose to do a First Look, take some time during the reception for photos together, or arrange some time after the wedding for photos- I just hope that somewhere during the day they carve out some time for pictures of just the two of them. Besides photographing the first dance & the recessional, these are definitely my favorite photos to take on a couple’s wedding day. These moments really emphasize the couple’s connection, and these connections are what I love to shoot most in this world.
The scene of The Proposal. Abby is standing on “their” tree, which is why she appears to be a little taller than Guion in this photo.
Oh, Abby’s dress. I’m pretty sure you can tell after looking at all of their photos, how much I was in love with it. And PS- Abby’s pearls? Too perfect for her, the dress, the setting- everything.
Beautiful bride in a beautiful setting.
Guion requested that we take some shots lying down and I’m so glad he did. I love this one!
After we explored the arboretum, we headed down the street to one of my favorite spots on campus- the Forest Theater. I loved the juxtaposition of a bride & a groom against the stone.
Yes. I pretty much loved shooting here. In fact, I could have photographed these two until well after sunset. They were just that great.
Thank you for inviting me to be a part of this truly one of a kind day, Abby & Guion. The ceremony was stunning, the reception was filled with warmth & love, and the connection between the two of you in such a meaningful & special environment, reminded me (again) why I chose to become a wedding photographer. Also, photographing a wedding in Chapel Hill allowed me to reminisce my own experience at Carolina. Thank you for giving me such a magical photographic opportunity, A&G.

Holy Cr**. This is officially my favorite wedding you’ve ever photographed. That light! Those adorable poses. I just hope you make us look this good. :)
You are so cute, Nina! I also love your facebook comment, “Sigh.” You & Aaron will look lovely together around the Red Barn. I promise.

I can’t believe I was only 80 yards away from you while you shot some of these! We need really big name tags or something! :) Fantastic photos by the way!
How great for us that you discovered your extraordinary gift if seeing, and capturing moments and settings.
Lovely work Meredith! And could these two be any cuter? Loving the bride’s dress and pearls, so cooperatively charming and elegant!
Tooootally stunning, Meredith! What an incredible setting and great use of light!
