chamard vineyards wedding: the details!
Last week I had what I consider to be the opportunity of a lifetime! I’ve been a longtime blog-stalker of the talented wedding photographers, Connecticut-based Justin & Mary Marantz and San Francisco-based Gene Higa. When it was announced that this unbeatable trio would be holding a workshop in the New Haven area, in July, I knew I just had to be there! As a reward to myself for booking a few unexpected weddings, I signed up and couldn’t be any happier that I did!
It’s easy to fall in love with the darling husband & wife duo, Justin & Mary, after only reading a few of their blog posts. Not only are they incredible photographers and business people, they have incredible fun-loving personalities as well! Gene is also easy to love! Watch any of his Tip of the Week videos and you’ll see his bright personality shine through! Gene was recently named one of the Top Ten Wedding Photographers in the World, so you can imagine how humbling (and AWESOME!) it was to shoot alongside him. I can thank the three of them for sending me back to Maine ready to burst with excitement and enthusiasm for & unlimited and my upcoming weddings!
Justin, Mary, their fantastic assistant, Julia, and Gene were not alone in planning this awesome workshop! The following vendors provided us with the most amazing details to photograph! Thank you to:
- Chamard Vineyards
- Sara True of True Event
- Yumiko Fletcher of Hana Floral
- Sugarbelle
- The White Dress by the Shore
- Jennie Fresa Beauty Library
Wedding detail shots can be the most fun photographs! Enjoy the fantastic choices made by the workshop leaders and the vendors!

The theme of the shoot was “You Wash, I’ll Dry.” You’ll see lots of super cute J. Crew Boxers in my next post!

Jars of goodies titled, Lights, Whites & Darks added to the laundry theme.

“You Wash, I’ll Dry” cupcakes that were absolutely scrumptious!

Stay tuned for more photos from the beautiful Chamard Vineyard wedding photography workshop!
I am honored to be the first comment! These pictures are OVER THE TOP. You have the gift to make me want to taste the cupcakes, smell the flowers and feel the breeze that is drying the laundry! Thanks for sharing. Your future brides will reap the benefits of all of this experience.
Meredith – I didn’t realize you went to this workshop – I was totally DROOLING over the details!! Really nice job capturing them!
These photos are straight out of “Real Simple” magazine. You’re brilliant!
