Meet Addison- our new niece! Michael’s sister gave birth to this adorably sweet girl back in September, but I met her for the first time when I was down in North Carolina earlier this month. Even though I only had a couple of hours to visit with her, I just had to take a few photos of Addison. She’s even wearing the onesie Michael & I picked out for her earlier this year. We’re having way too much fun spoiling her- who knew Patagonia made Retro-X vests for babies? It’s a good thing these two are expecting a baby next year. Then we’ll have two babies to spoil!

This family is almost too cute to describe! I had the chance to spend an afternoon with them at their home in Portsmouth earlier this summer and just fell in love with how adorable they are together. Cecelia celebrated her first birthday the week I drove down to New Hampshire for their family photos. She kept me on my toes, ready to snap away, with all of her crazy cute facial expressions. And her brother, a Brittany Spaniel named Ramey, kept us all laughing just as much as Cece did. The following are just a few of my favorites from my time spent photographing this sweet, young family.

Recently I had the chance to drive up the coast to Harpswell to photograph this super sweet family vacationing from Texas. Lori, Chris, and their darling children, Emma and Charley, have been visiting Harpswell nearly every summer since Emma was born! We visited Potts Point, their favorite place to look for seashells in the area.

Looking for seashells and laughing along with such a cute family is the perfect way to spend a summer evening in Maine! Thank you all for such a wonderful outing!

Genell & Saer, one of my 2010 wedding clients, had a baby boy this summer! Meet Keller. I’m lucky to live just around the corner from these three, so one night a few weeks ago I popped over to their house to take some photographs of this sweet, young family.

It’s hard to believe that one year ago this past weekend, these two were married in the mountains of North Carolina! My sister and her husband have had such a wonderful (and busy!) first year of marriage- soon after they returned from their honeymoon, they launched their business, Inkspot Crow Films.

I took these photos earlier this summer during one of my trips to North Carolina. Of course, many of my favorites – the ones I’ve included here – include their labradoodle, Charlie. Go figure!

Over the weekend I had the pleasure of photographing one of my favorite families. I’ve photographed the Sabots four times now, and after each shoot, I always seem to leave their house with a giant smile on my face and my heart bursting full of happiness and gratitude. Of course, the delicious strawberry lemonade they served me after our session probably helped a bit with that too!

Since these guys are seasoned pros at having their photos taken by me, I thought I would share some of the funnier photos from our shoot, as Andrew, David, and their sweet golden retriever, Daisy, were given permission to run right in the ocean, fully-clothed, after we took the holiday card-worthy photographs. The boys got the biggest kick out of it, and it made for some fun memories!

Thank you, Sabots, for yet another outrageously fun evening in Saco! I feel so fortunate to have been invited to your home several time to photograph your sweet, fun-loving family!

A few weeks ago I met up with my lovely friend, Marie Moreshead, for a quick shoot around the West End. I’d wanted to schedule a film-only shoot for awhile now, and I knew Marie would be the perfect person with whom to do so! I’ve photographed Marie three other times in the last couple of years, and I believe these are definitely my favorites!

In honor of my sister’s birthday today, I thought I would share a few photos I took of her little family on the porch of their home in Durham last week. We had just a few minutes before they had to take me to the airport, so I only had time to grab a few shots on film.

Michael, Orvis, and I are enjoying quite the winter storm up here in Maine, and hopefully when the wind dies down we’ll be able to get out & play. But for now, I’m inside doing some work and humming along to the tunes of the newest CD I purchased yesterday by my friend, Marie Moreshead. I met up with Marie this past summer at her home in Harpswell for another photo shoot. As always, she’s a joy to photograph and an incredibly kind friend. fisherman’s point family portraits!

I recently met up with this sweet family of five, who happen to live right around the corner from us, for a few portraits. We all walked together down to Fisherman’s Point, a small park in our neighborhood overlooking Casco Bay. Although the weather certainly was windy & cold, this was one of the most heartwarming sessions I’ve ever shot. I feel so lucky to live so close to such an incredibly kind & caring family.

Catherine & Gary have made an appearance on the blog before- I enjoyed photographing them on the dance floor at Chad & Sarah’s Whitehall Inn wedding this past August, where Catherine was one of Sarah’s lovely matrons of honor!

This session, however, was the first time I met their boys: Henry, Hudson, and Leland.

I stayed and chatted with these guys in their cozy home well after sunset, and walked home with the fullest, happiest heart. Thank you, all, for such a memorable evening.
