back from boston!

Michael & I are back from our wonderful whirlwind getaway to Boston!  We drove down yesterday afternoon, leaving Orvis in the care of one of our dearest friends to see Ray LaMontagne & David Gray in concert.  We checked into our swanky hotel and managed to enjoy a cup of warm tangerine tea, while freaking out that there was a yoga mat- a lululemon yoga mat- in our room.  True story.  We headed over to the waterfront and enjoyed a laid-back, scrumptious seafood meal at the Barking Crab, and then walked to the concert, where we enjoyed the live songs, new & old, of two of our all-time favorite singers.

Sadly, we had to depart early this morning as we’re both quite busy with work these days, but, of course, we made time to stop by one of our very favorite spots in all of Boston- Flour.  We enjoyed a couple of their scrumptious sticky buns, and became fast friends with a cute Bernese Mountain Dog named Fleur.

(I left my cameras at home, but we managed to take a few snapshots of the trip with our phones!)

Boston Trip

Even though we weren’t even gone a full 24 hours, it really was the most perfect mini-getaway we could have asked for during such a jam-packed time.  I’m so thankful that we were able to work our schedules accordingly to enjoy a little downtime together!

Happy Thursday!

So much fun, but way too short.

  • Julia thinks:

Aw! You two are the best! I was so happy to look after the bear child for you …seriously ….go away more often ;-)

  • Courtney thinks:

How was Ray? I’ve always wanted to see him but I hear he has severe stage fright. Glad y’all had fun!

  • Steph thinks:

I was there too! What a great night!

I found you through Cindy (she took our family portraits last spring). Love your work.

  • Alison thinks:

How fun!! Really enjoyed Ray LaMontagne when my sister and I caught him hear in Portland on his last round. Glad to hear you guys took the opportunity to get away, even for a short time- sometimes so very very needed!
