blowing rock wedding: getting ready with mackenzie!
Our day began with a morning run through Blowing Rock, followed by a scrumptious breakfast at the charming Inn at Ragged Gardens, which, by the way, has now become one of my favorite inns to visit! After catching up with several of our family members for a bit, Mackenzie, her friend, Julie, and I headed to the Westglow Resort & Spa for her hair appointment. (MacKenzie & Philip chose to have a small, intimate wedding, inviting only immediate family members, and their two best friends, Jesse & Julie.) It was so fun to watch my sister get pampered while getting her hair done for her wedding. And, really- how gorgeous is her naturally red hair?
Our mother made MacKenzie’s hair piece- we’re so fortunate to have such a talented mom!
After our trip to the lovely Westglow, MacKenzie & I headed back to her suite at the inn. It was time for me to play both the role of a sister and a photographer in helping her get ready, as it was just the two of us in the room- quite the experience for both us!
