sarah & johnny

After photographing Sarah & Johnny’s engagement session in Biddeford Pool, I couldn’t wait to return for their wedding!  Knowing their history with and love for this charming coastal town made me even more excited for their wedding day to come.  Even though I only had the chance to get to know Sarah & Johnny a relatively short time before their wedding day, I can say with confidence that the whole day couldn’t have felt more fitting for the two of them.  Everything, from Sarah’s beautiful bouquet and her grandmother’s veil, to the non-stop fun on the dance floor, was just very “Sarah & Johnny” to me.

I was lucky enough to be joined by my friend and fellow wedding photographer, Li Ward of Fat Orange Cat Studio for the day, who, like me, also shot film for the majority of the wedding.  Broadturn Farm did a spectacular job with the day’s flowers and Aurora Provisions kept all of the guests incredibly happy with their delicious creations.  Kate Martin & Wendy Freedman of Beautiful Days worked tirelessly to make sure the day flowed exceptionally well.

  1. Also, shout out to the bridesmaids and friends who helped to make all the wildflower seeded paper name cards and table numbers. Also to my cousins, Molly and Samantha and their friend for making the wedding posters and our seat names :)

  2. As if that dress could fit her any better, she looks stunning! Absolutely LOVE your work. Some incredible shots that really move me. My favorite is the black and white photo of the ceremony as the bride looks into the crowd. A thousand words were said in that shot. Well done!!

  3. Of course, I LOVE her dress! She looks so beautiful and natural. This wedding was gorgeous and you did a perfect job, Meredith!

  4. Awesome pics. You certainly captured the events! Just a shout out to our local companies, my suit was made by David Wood in Portland, not JoS A. Bank. No worries, though.

  5. Gorgeous! Loving the film, and that amazing bouquet!! I’m actually shooting at Broadturn this September, so that’s exciting to see :-) Loving the sweet photos down by the rocks too!

  6. Drop.Dead.Gorgeous. I am in love with everything about this wedding- the gown, the veil, the location, the FOOD and all of the vibrant and natural colors. And it looks like it was just as fun as it was beautiful. Congratulations to the happy couple and great work yet again Meredith! Some of these gave me goosebumps!

  7. oh my!!!! so so pretty!!!!! great job meredith! the flowers and colors of this wedding are stunning!

  8. Gorgeous! Simply gorgeous! The bride’s style is STUNNING. Wow! She’s beautiful and she looks so timeless in her gown! Agree that the flowers are pretty, too!

  9. Thank you, Meredith, for these gorgeous photographs of Sarah and Johnny’s beautiful wedding. You totally got it!
May I add that Sarah worked so closely with her mom, Sissy, on “styling” ther wedding (as Lia put it) from making handmade paper name cards to planting the gardens around the Big House. Their collaboration characterized this blessed event.

  10. What a beautiful, happy couple…such a wonderful celebration…you nailed it Meredith! I also want to send big hugs to all of our families who pitched in to help in so many ways to make the day so special too…THANKS!
