raleigh engagement: amanda & chase!

Last week I flew down to North Carolina for a mere twenty-four hours before heading up to NYC for a few days.  While there, I managed to practice yoga, have lunch with a dear friend who was visiting his family from NYC and drive up to Raleigh to photograph a super cute couple: Amanda & Chase! (Check out their sneak peek photo to see the ring Chase designed himself for Amanda!)  The two met as undergrads at North Carolina State University and had two political sciences classes together.  On the day of the final exam in their first class together, Amanda & Chase finished their exams at the same time and walked out of the door together.  They parted ways, and it wasn’t until Chase was out of sight that Amanda turned around hoping he was still there… she really wanted to get to know him.  Luckily, she found him sitting in another one of her classes the following semester.  It’s funny how those things work out, isn’t it?

Right before my plane landed in NC, the state was getting a ridiculous amount of rain.  It cleared up just in time for our session and we enjoyed some pretty awesome light for our photos!

I’m excited to head down to North Carolina to photograph Amanda & Chase’s wedding in December- it will be here before we all know it!  Happy planning & house hunting, you two!
