the studio

In the fall of 2010 I closed my storefront studio located just three doors down from our house, and moved into the new meredith perdue studio: a light turquoise cottage-like building Michael & I had built behind our 260-year old cape.

The new studio couldn’t be any more perfect!  In addition to having both a meeting space & a work area, I am now able to watch my black lab, Orvis, play outside while I work!  And when he grows tired of chewing on sticks & chasing squirrels, he simply waits at the door to come in and nap by the fire.

Located in the Willard Square neighborhood of South Portland (just steps away from the beach, Scratch Bakery, and Willard Scoops!), the cottage is a perfect blend of new & old: a vintage wooden bench, modern yellow chairs, found exposed beams, pendant lights, and even a desk made out of a door from my family’s old plantation home.
